Banks of the Garonne
From Daurade port to Prairie des Filtres, the Garonne quays draw locals at the slightest ray of sun. People gather in groups or in pairs, picnic there and watch the pink light fall on the Grave hospital and the Pont-Neuf. A date here is the simplest exercise: just bring something to nibble and a sincere conversation.
Canal du Midi, Unesco heritage
Listed by UNESCO, the Canal du Midi crosses Toulouse from east to west, lined with replanted plane trees. A bike ride from Saint-Sauveur port to the Minimes, then a coffee on a terrace, makes for a peaceful date. The canal then flows on towards Castelnaudary and the sea, a promise of longer getaways together whenever you feel like it.
Ramier Island and Japanese garden
Ramier Island offers a vast green space in the heart of Toulouse, perfect for a riverside stroll or a shady picnic. In the Compans-Caffarelli district, the Japanese garden unfolds a quiet corner with its red bridge. On Lyad, people from Toulouse share their favourite escapes; it is up to you to invite the right person.
